In March 2023, Mia was awarded the main Nancy Swanson Assistance Award in the Illinois Association for Music Therapy for her devoted services on the profession. She has also previously served within the regional conference planning committees and it is a Recurrent presenter at conferences and at encompassing Midwest universities on topics which inc
